What CW1 is doing
CW1 is condensing its patient services into a platform called MLite and diversifying it through its partners within the Network Partnership Program. Partners will be able to access to leverage CW1 technology when communicating with the patient remaining and keeping PKI and GDPR compliance. Partners will also be able to configure intake forms and receive appointments when configured the secure connections through VPN.
For providers who keep acute and emergency services, the platform also allows to intake triage forms where the emergency classification is humanly revised, allowing to simplify the triage process. Lastly, the platform also grants partners the right to provide services to CW1 patients on behalf of CW1.
Background
MLite is a platform designed to simplify the communication with the patient as well reduce the amount of physical presence on premises while keeping the quality of care and number of consultations. CW1 understood that most of its patient’s needs could be solved digitally providing a faster, convenient and more efficient service delivery to its patients while keeping a monitoring eye on the patient’s health.
The platform was designed in 4 different modules which with different functionalities that support the patient app Malm by CW1. Besides the CW1 ecosystem, the platform also aims to connect to the national (SPMS/GEMATIK/SPAR) healthcare records allowing participating doctors to have a full visibility over the patient records of health.

MLite Product summary
The product grants partners the ability to work more digitally aiming at optimizing operations and processes within premises. Since most of the requesting needs from the patients can be solved digitally (prescription renewal, sick leave, request for referral, case revision), CW1 organized and made such requests more accessible and faster to the patient, optimizing the waiting times and the way care service is delivered. For the providers, grants a more convenient and lenient way to provide the same services without physical presence, allowing a more remote setup to everyone participating.
The platform is built around 4 different functional modules to allow providers adoption gradually and scalable.
Appointments & Calendar module
This is an optional module that allows providers to connect their Office365 calendar to the platform and manage appointments within the platform (as well receiving appointments from CW1 patients). Patients will use the app Malm to book appointments at the available times from specific physicians, allowing the patient the right of choice of physician while reducing the bureaucracy and effort around the clinic confirming times. A fee is collected from the patient upon booking also granting the revenue in case of no-shows, therefore making it economically viable for the clinics. The module works directly with Microsoft Compliance, remaining GDPR compliant.
Communication and document modules
CW1 has been consistently dedicated to advancing healthcare by promoting equity, efficiency, and enhanced privacy for patients. CW1’s proprietary cryptographic and tokenization algorithms allow to communicate with the patient in a secure, cryptographic and encoded way, where all data is only accessible by the patient and the sending doctor or institution. At the same , through its App Malm and the issuance of PKI complaint certificates to the patient, CW1 can assure that the patient is verified as a physical person, signs and receives secure documentation regarding its own data – in line with GDPR compliance and ISO27001 – and keeps ownership of its own data (having to authorize the send out of its own data between partner clinics or even new doctors).
As such, CW1 is assuring GDPR and PKI compliance, in an innovative and secure way, allowing institutions not only to improve the way they send, access and receive data, as giving back ownership to the patient.
Patient modules
This module was designed to empower providers with the ability to verify patients and access their CW1 patient record. However, it also grants access to the national electronic health record. When a partner is licensed and compliance-managed by CW1, the module facilitates connections to various systems like SPAR GEMATIK and SPMS, enabling the retrieval of the patient’s national public record. If a provider lacks direct patient authorisation, they’re prompted to request it through the Malm app, streamlining the order of consent and data access. Even without CW1 compliance management, providers can access all exchanged documents within the CW1 ecosystem upon patient authorisation, allowing for case revisions prescriptions renewals and sickness certificates among other tasks.
Case revision modules
This module allows to review cases that do not require physical appearance from the patient, or whereas the patient is looking for alternative medical opinion or a faster way to get treatment (or even surgery). The module is designed for the patient to expose their case, and the provider to advice, prescribe, issue certification or schedule the patient for surgery and others. The module streamlines then the patient acquisition for providers, as well provides an innovative way of providing care to patients, since the patient receives his care in faster, secure, convenient and compliant way.
