We want to learn with the portuguese medicine.
Portuguese universities have some of the highest grades to access medicine as a student. The education is rigorous and the doctors are very well versed. At the same time software engineering and data analytics are as well full of Portuguese students who are just amazing in the way they create tech.
We decided to mix both worlds, and by putting side by side Doctors and Software engineers & data Analists we intend to create a facility in Lisbon that is aimed to support our research and aim of reaching a unified healthcare. This facility is currently in pilot project and is destined to research medical algorithms and AI models capable of detecting cardiovascular triggers of CVD diseases.
Project Focus
CW1 intends to reach a new facility where human meets tech and makes medicine easier.
Unique algorithm of encrypting that ensures all data in the BioResearchCenter is encrypted and the proper facility cannot override the encryption without asking the main entity or patient to decrypt the data.
The same datais used to detect patterns in the heart rate, VO2Max and HRV that can be a signed of Arrhythmia or any other CVD disease.
The data is collected anonymously from the vitals of different patients who participate in the Malm App in order to measure their vitals.

Dr. P. Stark, PhD
Pedro founded the CW1 Group in 2019 sits as managing partner. He previously worked for one of the Big-4 firms and different European initiatives in the healthcare insurance sector.
Medical
Dr. M. Bonk, MD
Dr. Maximilian oversees all CW1 medical research. Renowned neurosurgeon and robotics expert, as well as the Head of Alma Mater Vienna and Dean of the Department of Physiotherapy.
Technology
M. Española, MsCs
Mia joined the CW1 Group at the end of 2021 and currently oversees all its technology development and infrastructure. She previously worked at Accenture.
Impact
Shifting the Status Quo
CW1 aims at shifting realities. We know that healthcare is not perfect, specially in countries such as Portugal where the financing system is not structured such as the nordic countries or DACH.
However we believe there is an enourmous potential to be given an opportunity to show true medicine, and reach to a system where we achieve a solution through patient monitoring that aliviates the burden of doctors in hospitals looking at ECGs all the time.
